My Role
I joined BearingPoint in 2019, having spent 15+ years as a Senior Project/Programme Manager in the Telecommunications industry. While I wanted to remain in the area of Project/Programme management, it was time to expand my horizons beyond Telco …… and BearingPoint has certainly allowed me to do that!
Since joining I have worked with both public and private sector clients on projects of various size and complexity. Most importantly, my roles so far have been varied and I have been given the opportunity of fulfilling both delivery and consulting positions. I am also involved in business development activities which allows me to contribute to BearingPoint business growth. This variety allows me to develop and maintain valuable relationships and expand my skills and knowledge. It has also opened up new ways of working to me as well as new technologies, not to mention the network of professionals that I have the pleasure of working with every day!
Normal Day
As I work across several areas of the business, no two days are the same! I have responsibility for project delivery, this means that I work closely with both the client and the BearingPoint implementation team, to ensure we deliver quality solutions on time and within budget. I am often involved in practice development activities, this is a great way of getting to work with colleagues that I don’t usually cross path with, and there are usually some business development tasks that I fulfil as part of a bid team. Every day is busy, some days are more challenging than others but no day is ever boring!
Outside the Office
As mum to two teenage kids I am kept busy outside of the office and usually spend my weekends freezing while I cheer at the side of a GAA or soccer pitch, but I always find time for friends and I love to read.
