The inaugural BearingPoint Sports Day was held at Energia Park in Donnybrook in June. The family-friendly event was open to all BearingPoint staff and their families. Among the surprise guests on the day were Leinster Rugby stars Cian Kelleher, Peter Dooley and Brian Byrne. Leo the Lion was also on hand to keep everyone roaring with his usual antics.

Entrants competed in a wide range of sporting challenges including sprinting, welly throwing and the always popular egg and spoon race. Face painters, balloon animals and bouncing castles kept everyone entertained throughout the day. All of this excitement was sustained by Horsebox Catering who supplied gourmet sandwiches and a range of hot and cold drinks. There was even a surprise visit from an ice cream van.

The event was organised by BearingPoint’s Sarah Keane and Naomi Owens and would not have been possible without the support of staff members, who generously volunteered their time as referees, coaches and all-round entertainers.
