Supporting our people through Covid-19
In March 2020 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, our teams transitioned to working from home overnight. Our focus from the outset was to ensure our teams and their families were supported from a physical and mental health perspective and, also importantly, a social connectivity perspective. We ensured our people were supported in terms of having the technology and the equipment they needed to deliver their work seamlessly from home. We set up dedicated communication channels for the latest updates on company activity as well as helpful tips and tricks on how to use new platforms along with a fun channel where staff shared photos of pets, their hobbies, ……
We continued to hire new team members throughout the last year and all hiring and with all onboarding being carried out remotely, with new laptops and phones being sent in advance of the first day. We arranged drinks with our new colleagues at the end of their first week and we can’t wait to meet them in person when the time is right!
In addition, our Learning & Development activities continued with all courses successfully taking place virtually. Our Affinity Networks continued to meet regularly e.g. Women’s Affinity Network, LGBTQ Network, Diversity & Inclusion group. We set up a virtual coffee shop so that our people could drop in and chat with each other when they wished. We ran weekly activity classes including Boxercise, Zumba, yoga, Pilates, Cooking classes etc.
