Develop Abroad: Claire’s Story
Claire joined BearingPoint’s Dublin office in 2019 as part of the “Develop Abroad” programme (secondment initiative) which aims to develop professional and personal skills while working abroad. Here is Claire’s story: I joined the BearingPoint Dublin office last autumn as part of a one-year secondment programme between Ireland and France. BearingPoint rounded off the year in style with a circus themed staff party at Ely Bar and Grill in Dublin’s IFSC quarter. Arriving guests were greeted by a cavalcade of performers including jugglers, stilt walkers and mime artists. An impressive three course dinner was accompanied by the acoustic tones of Stray Melody and the thrilling close hand magic of Joe Daly. BearingPoint Sports Day
The inaugural BearingPoint Sports Day was held at Energia Park in Donnybrook in June. The family-friendly event was open to all BearingPoint staff and their families. Among the surprise guests on the day were Leinster Rugby stars Cian Kelleher, Peter Dooley and Brian Byrne. Leo the Lion was also on hand to keep everyone roaring with his usual antics. Entrants competed in a wide range of sporting challenges including sprinting, welly throwing and the always popular egg and spoon race. Be Proud at BearingPoint
BearingPoint was proud to participate in Dublin’s Pride Parade for a second year running. The parade was the culmination of a week-long series of events aimed at promoting diversity and inclusiveness at work, organised by the BearingPoint LGBTQ Affinity Network. The ABCs of LGBTQ Throughout the last week of June, the BearingPoint LGBTQ Affinity Network shared the meaning and origins of Pride with staff members. Leinster Rugby receives Sea of Blue support from BearingPoint
BearingPoint were on hand to support Leinster Rugby ahead of their Guinness Pro 14 Semi-Final clash with Munster. A team from BearingPoint joined the Official Leinster Supporters Club to distribute hundreds of clap banners, flags and foam hands to fans before the game. The Leinster Rugby players were met with a “Sea of Blue” as they arrived at the RDS arena for their final home game of the season. The tremendous atmosphere helped Leinster Rugby on their way to a 24-9 victory and set up a Championship decider with Glasgow Warriors.
