Be Proud at BearingPoint

BearingPoint was proud to participate in Dublin’s Pride Parade for a second year running. The parade was the culmination of a week-long series of events aimed at promoting diversity and inclusiveness at work, organised by the BearingPoint LGBTQ Affinity Network.

The ABCs of LGBTQ

Throughout the last week of June, the BearingPoint LGBTQ Affinity Network shared the meaning and origins of Pride with staff members. The messages were shared through internal channels and displayed on digital screens and noticeboards throughout the office. Topics included:

  • The History of the Rainbow Pride Flag
  • The Stonewall Riots
  • A Timeline of LGBTQ Rights in Ireland

A Wholesome Breakfast

A special Pride Breakfast was held in the BearingPoint office. The event was open to all employees and included freshly baked pastries, live music and a “Rainbow” of Pride-themed breakfast juices.

Walking with Pride

On Saturday, June 29th, BearingPoint was proud to participate in the Dublin Pride Parade. Employees from all backgrounds, as well as friends, partners and family members, joined the parade at the starting point on Parnell Square. The parade was lively and colourful with music and drums leading the way.  Crowds turned up in their thousands to cheer the parade along to its final destination in Merrion Square.

LGBTQ Pride Week gives BearingPoint the opportunity to celebrate the diversity of its employees and highlight the inclusiveness which are both key to the organisation’s success. BearingPoint is committed to correcting traditional imbalances and removing barriers to participation for all its employees.
