Diversity and inclusion

Be amazing

At BearingPoint, we recognise that diversity leads to better results.  Our multi-disciplinary teams are key to our successful client engagements.  We celebrate the strength that comes from our similarities and our differences through local initiatives which promote inclusion, outreach and respect. We are committed to correcting traditional imbalances and removing barriers to participation, as well as building a strong pipeline of talent for the future.

We are focused on attracting and retaining the best people with the right skills and the desire to deliver excellent results, regardless of background. In return, we will provide a working environment in which everyone feels valued and has the opportunity to fulfill their potential, where their talents are fully utilised and company goals are met.

To successfully develop and maintain this culture means that we recruit people who reflect the markets and clients we serve and the communities in which we operate. Diversity and inclusion are a critical component of our employment proposition and policies.

Be all you can be at BearingPoint…

Be empowered

We want to empower all of our people to reach their full potential!  Our Women’s Affinity Network, brings together female and male staff with an interest in promoting diversity, equality and inclusion.  Working with firm leadership and at grassroots level, the network provides a lens on equality, training and networking opportunities that enable and inspire our female staff to achieve their goals.

This year we celebrated International Women’s Day virtually and were delighted to host a panel discussion of very impressive leaders.  Our guest speakers were Moyagh Murdock (Head of Insurance Ireland), Áine Flynn (Director of Mental Health Commission), Jacqui McCrum (Secretary General of Defence) and Gillian O’Sullivan (Head of BearingPoint Ireland).

Be proud

BearingPoint is a welcoming and inclusive place to work for LGBTQ people. Be Proud is BearingPoint’s LGBTQ affinity network. It is a community open to all staff, that ensures working as an LGBTQ person in BearingPoint is a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and that BearingPoint provides a social atmosphere that embraces LGBTQ culture.

Be a rolemodel

At BearingPoint it’s simple.  We want to be role models and inspire young girls to code!  Through our Coding for Girls initiative, we are working with Drumcondra Education Centre to empower primary school teachers to embrace coding in the classroom

Be involved

We are delighted with our involvement with the Women ReBOOT programme.  Software Skillnet launched the programme in late 2017 to support women who want to return to work after a career break.

10 Days of Caring

In 2019, BearingPoint celebrated 10 years of success as an independent management and technology consultancy. To celebrate this milestone, the company has announced the largest corporate social responsibility drive in its history. The #10DaysOfCaring campaign sees BearingPoint employees volunteering to give back to people, the planet, and society across its offices.

Be extraordinary

We understand how challenging it can be to juggle home and work commitments, particularly when returning from maternity leave. We have ‘Life Coaches’ whose role is to help new parents (and carers) who are returning to work after maternity/paternity leave with questions they may have, share experiences and provide guidance. Some of our colleagues share their experiences of juggling work and home commitments here…
