Meet Rob

My Role

I provide management consulting services, specialising in strategic planning and project management. For the last number of years, I have lead the solution design team for one of our major telecommunications clients and managed several projects within that sector.

Normal Day

For me, the working day involves meeting with the client to provide an update on all aspects of the project or programme’s progress, discussing any issues or risks that may have arisen. I meet with project team members and stakeholders both on a one-to-one basis and as a wider project design and delivery group and this ensures that I am well versed and up to date with all facets of the project across all work streams. A weekly meeting is held with team members from BearingPoint and the client to discuss the project status. My role also involves some business development work, coaching and mentoring of team members and financial management of my projects.

Outside the Office

My main hobbies have always been driven by my love of sport. Playing tennis and soccer in my younger days, my main exercise outlet as I approach 40 is running and I frequently participate in 5k and 10k races around Greater Dublin. I also get great enjoyment from being with my young family and attending Leinster Rugby games.

Why BearingPoint

The opportunity to work with some great clients across a wide variety of industries and technologies appealed greatly to me. BearingPoint provides a fantastic working environment where dedicated professionals can grow their careers through the five characteristics of the BearingPoint Spirit; holistic, easy to work with, confident, trusted and entrepreneurial. The people at BearingPoint are supportive, team-oriented and fun.
